One Saturday morning per month, time is set aside for the Gathering of Men: the men’s ministry of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The group is a relaxed, informal, and flexible gathering that facilitates relationships among the men of the church. Conversations flow on a broad range of subjects including Bible Study, how-to discussions, travelogues, projects individuals are working on, family, the latest book read, our favorite things, our hopes, and desires, Christianity and culture, and faith experiences: whatever is on each person’s heart.
The Gathering of Men is leading an “Our Story – His Story Project,” collecting faith stories for a book to be published prior to Holy Trinity’s 100th anniversary in 2022. The project's leader is a published author who has led two sessions on how to write a story and has met with a number of individuals to discuss their stories and get them on paper. We believe everyone has a story that others need to hear, and we would like to hear yours, too.
The group also supports Social Ministry, Evangelism, and any other ministry or group that need extra hands. For example, we have helped the Evangelism Committee prepare “Taste of Tuscany” and “What did Luther Eat?” dinners. We're hoping for another based on Paul’s journeys: time will tell.
